On August 29th, SummerDocs will showcase the coming-of-age documentary film titled “Middletown“, directed by Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss. This thought-provoking documentary tells the story of a group of students and their unconventional English teacher who created an investigative documentary that stirred up quite a commotion in their small upstate New York town. The screenings will take place at East Hampton’s Guild Hall, and after each showing, there will be engaging discussions with Alec Baldwin, co-chair of HamptonsFilm, and David Nugent, the artistic director.

HamptonsFilm has announced the schedule for their free, open-air film screenings each Wednesday during summer evenings at Herrick Park and Main Beach in East Hampton. The lineup for these outdoor movies consists of “Top Gun: Maverick” (July 9th), “Jaws” (July 23rd), “Elf” (July 30th), “School of Rock” (August 6th), “Toy Story” (August 13th) and “Barbie” (August 20th).
