Mark Hamill Reprising Regular Show Role for Series Revival

As a fan of both animated series and the illustrious career of Mark Hamill, I can hardly contain my excitement about his return to voice Skips in the upcoming revival of the beloved “Regular Show“. With his extensive portfolio in voice acting, spanning from iconic roles like Luke Skywalker to the Joker, and Firelord Ozai, it’s clear that Hamill has a knack for bringing characters to life.

Mark Hamill has had a diverse acting career, from the incredibly popular Luke Skywalker of the Star Wars saga to voicing iconic villains like the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, and Firelord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Although he’s famously said he won’t voice the Joker again following Kevin Conroy’s recent passing, it looks like Hamill will be returning to another beloved animated series to voice one of his iconic characters.

As reported by Popverse, Mark Hamill has announced his return to voice his beloved character Skips in an imminent revival of the animated series Regular Show. Regular Show, which originally aired on Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2017, follows a group of park workers as they navigate their daily lives. Warner Bros. Animation recently gave the go-ahead for a revival of this beloved show. Skips, Hamill’s iconic yeti character who is known for skipping rather than walking, is a cherished figure among the series’ fanbase.

As a die-hard fan of animation, I was overjoyed to learn that the cherished cartoon series “Regular Show” is making a comeback! The exciting news dropped at Annecy in June this year, according to Variety’s reports. At a panel during Fan Expo Chicago, Mark Hamill himself confirmed his participation in this animated revival. In addition, the original creator of the show, J.G. Quintel, will be back on board, lending his voice to Mordecai the blue jay once more. I can hardly wait for this magical journey through the world of “Regular Show” to continue!

“Here’s an interesting bit of news. I just heard this last week. They want to do 44 more episodes of Regular Show.”

William Salyers contacted me with the message, ‘Have you heard? I’m a bit concerned, are you coming or not?’ It feels like I’ve moved on from that circle. In response, I told him, ‘Only one Skip exists, and he’s eagerly anticipating catching up with his old buddy Rigby.’ He then sent me a joyful dancing GIF.

Mark Hamill Continues His Legacy In Voice Acting

Although the actor is mainly recognized for his on-screen performances in the Star Wars franchise, Hamill has a major presence in the voice-acting community. He continues to expand his portfolio by voicing a bear named Thorn in the new animated film The Wild Robot. Some of his previous voice acting roles include Art Rosenbaum in Amazon’s Invincible, Granduncle in Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film,The Boy and the Heron, and Chucky in Child’s Play (2019). Hamill has voiced various characters in shows like Adventure Time, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, and Robot Chicken. The multi-talented actor also voices multiple characters in Regular Show, so we assume he’ll probably do the same in the new series.

Next up, Hamill will be providing the voice for King Herod in “The King of Kings” and for The Flying Dutchman in “The SpongeBob Movie: The Great SquarePants Adventure.

Regular Show is streaming on Cartoon Network, Hulu, Max, and Disney+.
