Mark Ruffalo, Role Model Join Natalie Portman for ‘Good Sex’ Rom-Com

Actor Mark Ruffalo and musician Tucker Pillsbury (also known as Role Model) are set to act alongside Natalie Portman in the upcoming Netflix-produced romantic comedy titled “Good Sex“, which Lena Dunham is directing.

Dunham, known for exploring themes of relationships and sexuality through HBO’s show ‘Girls’, is penning the script and co-producing with her production partner Michael Cohen, under Good Thing Going Productions. Portman and Sophie Mas will produce this project through their banner, MountainA.

As a seasoned gamer navigating the complex world of online dating, I found myself in the shoes of Ally, a practical relationship therapist. Having spent a decade stuck in a rut and now turning 40, I hesitantly re-entered the bustling New York dating scene. However, as Netflix’s description suggests, my foray into this new chapter of my life took an unexpected turn when I crossed paths with two men – one young and vibrant, the other mature and wise. These encounters made me realize that there’s no single recipe for satisfying experiences, be they in love or gaming.

Tim Bevan, Michael Sledd, MountainA’s Michaela Celella are exec producing.

Mark Ruffalo recently appeared in “Mickey 17,” a sci-fi film directed by Bong Joon Ho which premiered earlier this year. Up next for him is “Task,” an HBO crime series set to release in September. Ruffalo is represented by UTA, Lighthouse Management, and other agencies.

27-year-old artist Role Model, known for his stripped-down pop tunes, will make his acting debut in the film titled “Good Sex,” which was released in July 2024 to great critical praise. After leaving Best Friends Music Management, he is now represented by Paradigm, Wasserman Music, and Myman Greenspan.
