Marvel Debuted Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Theme Song, And I Really Love It

As a lifelong Marvel fan who grew up with the magic of those comic books and movies, I can confidently say that Michael Giacchino has outdone himself yet again. The new MCU theme for The Fantastic Four is nothing short of spectacular!

Using a fitting melody, one can accomplish any task. This was demonstrated by Marvel Studios when they created their unique theme, which has been playing in their films since Michael Giacchino composed it in 2016. I bring this up because our recent discussion centered on Giacchino’s work on the score for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Now, the world gets a taste of Marvel’s first family’s signature theme, and I must say, it’s fantastic! It not only meets expectations but surpasses them.

At Disney’s D23 expo in Anaheim, a flurry of news and enthusiasm is about to be unleashed, some of it official and some leaked. We currently find ourselves among the unofficial releases, thanks to a dedicated fan who managed to get a sneak peek at today’s “Music of Marvel” panel. This fan’s hard work allows us to hear an exclusive new theme from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which I’ve shared below:

What a marvel! It’s hard not to recognize all the diverse influences Mr. Giacchino has incorporated into this piece. Without a doubt, it carries the signature of a Marvel score. The opening theme evokes the spirit of Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, just as the Spider-Man composer intended. As we move forward, we’re drawn towards the core of the composition where Tom Conti’s The Right Stuff score takes off like a rocket. Did anyone else feel goosebumps listening to “Fan-tast-ic-FOOOOOUR” sung by a choir? Quite an exhilarating experience!

“The Incredible Four: Initial Strides” will enter our dimension on July 25, 2025. However, for everyone’s benefit, I sincerely hope that we get to see the official video of this release as quickly as possible, preferably before rather than after it’s due.

More to come…
