As a gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’ve seen my fair share of free-to-play games trying to milk their players for every penny they can get. However, Marvel Rivals has taken it to a new level with their currency system and the seasonal resetting of Chrono Tokens.

Marvel Rivals may be free to play, but fans know the game has multiple ways to profit from players.

As a gamer, I’ve got to mention that the game we’re playing right now has three types of in-game currencies: Lattice, Units, and Chrono Tokens. Here’s an important piece of info: one of these will be reset at the start of each season in Rivals. So, it’d be wise for us to use them wisely while we can!

Chrono Tokens Will Refresh Every Season

As stated by the developers, the total Chrono Tokens amassed by players will be restored to zero at the conclusion of every season. This move is intended to motivate players to actively participate in the ongoing Battle Pass during each season.

Concerned that players might overlook the ongoing season’s Battle Pass in favor of the previously purchased Luxury Battle Passes in Marvel Rivals, developers expressed apprehension about this potential situation.

Every time I jump back into the game, I find myself compelled to dive into the latest Battle Pass. It seems like the developers are weaving an engaging storyline throughout this season, and they want us to experience it as it unfolds. While Battle Passes don’t have a set expiration date, they encourage us to finish them during the season they were released. This approach keeps the game fresh and exciting for me!

It’s important to mention that advancement in the Luxury Battle Pass does not carry over to the next season. Instead, the Battle Pass remains locked based on the number of Chrono Tokens a player has accumulated. To progress further in the Battle Pass later on, players will need to earn more tokens.

In this case, the players can choose to use their Chrono Tokens to purchase the previous Battle Pass or continue working towards the current one, depending on which season they prefer.

What About Chrono Tokens That Were Paid For?

In this game, Chrono Tokens are usually gained through playtime, but you can also buy them using real-world money, specifically with Lattice currency. It’s important to note that tokens purchased with Lattice can be saved for the next season, though this is contingent upon whether or not a Luxury Battle Pass has been bought by the player.

The game has an automatic feature that lets users redeem items (Chrono Tokens) without manual intervention. This process continues until all available tokens are claimed. Additionally, the game sends an email to the user detailing the items they received after the auto redemption begins.

If some tokens remain following the AIR, developers have assured players they can retain their personally acquired Chrono Tokens exclusively, as hinted in this example: “Even after the AIR, only the Chrono Tokens that were bought will be kept by the players.

– Suppose you invest 1,000 Lattice to obtain 1,000 Chrono Tokens during this season. Once the season concludes, the auto-reward process takes place. Following that event:

· If 500 Chrono Tokens remain, then these 500 Chrono Tokens will be retained for the next season.

If there are still 1,500 Chrono Tokens left, those 1,000 Chrono Tokens you bought will carry over to the upcoming season.
