Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic Teases Possible Incoming Skins

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled about the arrival of Hellfire Gala in Marvel Rivals! This event promises a wave of stylish costumes for our heroes this season. However, given NetEase’s knack for surprises, it’s quite likely that they’ve got more fashionable aces up their sleeves, waiting to be unveiled!

Through the Marvel Rivals Infinity comic tie-up, fans are privy to potential new costumes or appearances for characters such as Storm, Magik, Doctor Strange, among others.

Unreleased Hellfire Gala Skins?

Fans have noticed that the Marvel Rivals Infinity comic is hinting at new costumes for several heroes. While we’ve already seen Captain America, Wolverine, Cloak & Dagger, and Luna Snow getting Gala skins, the comic provides a sneak peek into outfits for characters such as Jeff the Land Shark, Storm, Squirrel Girl, Magik, and Doctor Strange. Here’s a look:

Interestingly, it’s the character known as The Thing who has become quite popular lately. This is due to an edited version of him sporting a g-string and being referred to as ‘The Thong’.

Given that Marvel Rivals is primarily aimed at a PG-13 audience, it’s possible that NetEase might prefer to steer clear of certain themes, but if Venom’s dance moves can find their way into the game, they could easily introduce a Thing costume featuring nothing more than a thong for some comedic relief.

Plus, it would probably sell like gangbusters in the in-game shop.

Possible Release Window

From the appearance, Marvel Rivals seems to have unveiled potential cosmetics for their upcoming second season. Since Ultron is slated to debut in about 1.5 months, there’s a possibility they might roll out another batch of skins, possibly those shown in this comic.

In this game, revenue predominantly comes from cosmetic sales. Given this, it’s likely that NetEase plans to roll out a large number of these items. While eye-catching outfits might attract a significant number of players, there’s also a strong possibility that amusingly memorable cosmetics could prove equally enticing.

To understand how something can become popular, just take a peek at Fortnite and notice the impact of the Sabrina Carpenter-themed cosmetic release, as players have been enjoying and sharing it extensively.

The skins haven’t been launched yet, but fans are optimistic that they might be unveiled within the upcoming weeks after Season 2 begins.

Marvel Rivals just kick-started Season 2, and it’s now playable for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
