Marvel Rivals New Patch Leaves Peni Parker Tanking Worse Than Ever

In the most recent upgrade, Marvel Rivals finds Peni Parker facing some challenging circumstances, with no one else in this predicament.

Originally, she was quite good at being a tank, excelling at managing space effectively. However, more recent updates seem to have drastically shifted her gameplay approach. Compared to other champions who received buffs, Peni’s changes feel like they’ve weakened her, making her one of the least powerful tanks currently in play.

Previously, Peni Parker wasn’t overpowered, but she had a distinct role that proved valuable when handled correctly. A key asset she possessed was her Arachno-Mine, enabling her to set up explosive traps for crowd control against opponents.

Now, it’s possible for players to eliminate these mines before they become active, thanks to the recent updates. This means adversaries no longer have to strategize around them; instead, they can simply clear them away using standard attacks, making what was once a potential hazard more of an easily manageable nuisance.

Originally, Peni’s mines would vanish under specific arrangements involving her webs. The recent adjustment aimed to address this issue, however, seems to have overcorrected, causing the mines to lose durability unless they’re positioned right on a web.

On the Marvel Rivals subreddit, Hassan_dislogical posted a video that essentially highlights the issue at hand.

Certain players have noted that figures like Cloak, Storm, and Spider-Man are now capable of swiftly eliminating mine traps with their unique skills.

One user speculates that Wolverine’s ultimate ability could function similarly, though the collective is yet to confirm whether it affects their traps for sure. The community is still testing this interaction.

It’s still unclear whether NetEase thinks these changes were a mistake or a planned rework.

If they intended to support her, they could have placed her in a more vulnerable situation instead – Peni Parker finds herself in one of the most precarious situations she has ever encountered.
