Since NetEase primarily generates revenue from cosmetic items like costumes in Marvel Rivals, it’s not surprising that they frequently unveil new outfits for the characters every couple of weeks.
By the close of this week, we’ll have the latest release that includes new costumes for the dynamic duo of Cloak and Dagger and also for Venom.
Lingering Imprint and Twilight Duo
According to updates shared on Marvel Rivals’ official platforms, the character Venom is set to receive a “Lingering Imprint” skin, while Cloak and Dagger will get skins titled “Twilight Duo.” Here are some visuals for your perusal:

For clarity, in this dialogue, ‘Brock’ refers to Eddie Brock, who is better known as Venom, while ‘Thompson’ is Flash Thompson. In the comic books, Flash Thompson, once a bully of Peter Parker, also encountered the symbiote and transformed into Agent Venom – essentially a black-suit Spider-Man who uses firearms.
It’s uncertain if Venom will feature multiple voice lines to indicate a different character within the suit, but it’s peculiar that NetEase didn’t reveal the Most Valuable Player (MVP) character yet. By the way, here’s a sneak peek at the MVP appearance for Cloak and Dagger’s Twilight Duo skin:
There seems to be confusion about whether Venom will switch between voice lines, suggesting a different host in the suit. It’s unusual that NetEase hasn’t unveiled the MVP character yet. Take a look at this teaser for Cloak and Dagger’s Twilight Duo skin’s MVP version:
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the latest Marvel Rivals skins aren’t reminiscent of any comic-book characters, but they sure do have a mobster vibe going on! There’s no graphic violence or explicit language typically associated with mobsters, but the style and aesthetic are spot on.
The exact price for each skin hasn’t been disclosed yet, but enthusiasts are guessing they might cost around 1,400 units apiece. However, if the Venom skin includes a voice by Flash Thompson, it might be priced higher, although this is all still speculation at the moment.
Season 1 Trudges On
It appears that we’ve reached the midpoint of Season 1 for Marvel Rivals, as The Thing and The Human Torch make their debut alongside it. Not only are there fresh skins being unveiled, but a novel game mode called Clone Rumble has been introduced as well. This mode lets players field entire teams consisting of a single character, potentially disrupting the game’s balance entirely.
It’s possible that we might see additional cosmetics within the upcoming weeks. However, come March, it seems the current season is wrapping up and preparing for a fresh start with Season 2.
What to Expect with Season 2

Anticipating the conclusion of Season 1 in April, many enthusiasts have started pondering about what might unfold in the subsequent season. If whispers are true, Season 2 could delve deeply into the emergence of mutants, and it’s hinted that a blueprint for X-Mansion is currently being developed.
Regarding the upcoming characters, it’s been confirmed that Blade and Ultron will appear, while there are whispers about additional X-Men joining the roster such as Jean Grey, Deadpool, Emma Frost, Colossus, and Cyclops.
As an avid fan, I’ve heard whispers of a potential playable Professor X character, but thus far, there’s been no concrete confirmation on this exciting possibility.
On March 6th, you can get the latest costumes for Cloak, Dagger, and Venom. The game Marvel Rivals is now available to play on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
