Marvel's Blade Reboot Has Been Delayed Yet Again, But This Has Resulted In Some Great News For The Predator Franchise

As a long-time Marvel fan who’s been eagerly waiting for the Blade reboot since that fateful day at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, I must admit, my heart skipped a beat when I heard the latest update about the movie’s release date. But then, like a well-aimed silver bullet, it hit me – Predator: Badlands is taking over!

At San Diego Comic-Con 2019 during Marvel Studio’s Hall H panel, it was revealed that Mahershala Ali would portray Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, over the past five years, the Blade reboot has faced numerous delays and production problems. The initial plan had been to release the movie in November 2025, but this is no longer the case. Instead, this turn of events is beneficial for enthusiasts of the Predator series.

A new wave of updates has come in regarding release dates for upcoming Disney movies, and among them is Blade being removed from the November 7, 2025 slot and being replaced by Predator: Badlands. Considering that Blade would have needed to be filming now, if not finished with principal photography, in order to make that November date, this move is hardly surprising. Badlands, on the other hand, began filming in late August in New Zealand, so it taking over that slot makes complete sense.

More to come…
