Among the year’s most divisive new shoe designs by Nike is the Nike Air Max Waffle Racer. This model, unveiled during June’s SNKRS Showcase event, sparked a lot of conversation due to its unique blend: it features the upper part from the Blue Ribbon Sports Waffle Racer and a portion of its sole with the Tuned Air sole from the Air Max Plus. It was released last month and has remained a topic since then.
2025 is when Nike introduces a fresh “Matte Olive” design. This year’s kickoff model features an olive nylon base, with suede accents added to various overlays. White makes an appearance on the leather Swooshes and tongue. The unique sole unit is dressed in off-white, complete with a gum outsole that includes the classic waffle tread pattern.
Currently, it’s undetermined when the “Matte Olive” version of the Air Max Waffle Racer will be released by Nike.
