Matthew Koma Sells “F*** Ye” T-Shirt in Response to Kanye West’s Antisemitic Tirades

Matthew Koma has responded to Kanye West’s recent controversial statements about antisemitism on social media.

In the past few weeks, West (formerly known as Kanye West) has faced criticism for his inflammatory and anti-Semitic social media posts, as well as selling a shirt with a swastika design, associated with the Nazi regime, through his fashion line Yeezy.

In response, Koma opted to introduce his own T-shirt with the words, “FUCK YE.” On Monday, the musician shared on Instagram that he had created this garment and included a link in his bio for purchasing it. All earnings from these sales will be donated to the Blue Card Holocaust Survivor Charity, as Koma is Jewish.

He wrote on Instagram, “We may not be able to prevent a bigot from spreading hate-filled messages… but we can certainly stop amplifying their voice, Mr. Musk.” The actor expressed concern that Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on the platform, which is more than twice the number of Jews globally. He warned that West’s hate speech incites real-life violence against Jewish people.

Beyond his hateful tweets endorsing Adolf Hitler and expressing Nazi views, as well as criticizing the #MeToo movement and reiterating his contentious remarks about slavery, West further escalated matters by offering a T-shirt adorned with a swastika symbol for sale. On Sunday evening during the Super Bowl, Yeezy broadcast an advertisement in certain regions, urging viewers through a video filmed on an iPhone to visit his brand’s website. When the ad aired, Yeezy.com showcased the usual array of merchandise and music CDs/vinyl. However, by Monday morning, the brand had simplified its online store to solely offer this controversial T-shirt featuring the swastika image.

Shopify, the company responsible for hosting and processing orders for Yeezy.com, has taken down the site due to a breach of their policies.
