Coming from a political family, it seems he has successfully navigated the world of glitz and glamour with grace and panache.

Riteish Deshmukh is the child of a politician who once served as Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Vilasrao Deshmukh. Given his family’s political background, it’s no surprise that his brothers and other relatives have ventured into politics as well. After earning an architecture degree from Kamla Raheja College of Architecture in Mumbai, he spent time working for an international architectural firm before returning to India to continue his career in the same field. Additionally, he established a design company called Evolutions.

In 2003, the actor entered the world of entertainment and first appeared in Tujhe Meri Kasam alongside his future wife, Genelia Deshmukh. Prior to their marriage in 2012, they collaborated on three films together. The happy couple now have two sons: Riaan, born on November 25, 2013, and Rahyl, born on June 2, 2016.

In 2004, Deshmukh achieved a major success with the film Masti. Following this, he delivered impressive performances in movies such as Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005), Apna Sapna Money Money (2006), Heyy Babyy (2007), Dhamaal (2007), Housefull (2010), and many others. Additionally, he dared to explore new roles on screen and portrayed a villain in the 2014 blockbuster Ek Villain. Beyond his thriving Hindi film career, Deshmukh has also found success in Marathi films as well.

He shares a wonderful bond with actor Salman Khan, and the actor did a cameo in his Marathi films Lai Bhaari in 2014 and  Ved in 2022. Riteish recently hosted the new season of Bigg Boss Marathi, and audiences loved him in his new role. Meanwhile, on the work front, he will next be seen in Raid 2 and Housefull 5.
