Meet actor who worked with Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar; left Bollywood but ended up grabbing eyeballs for plastic surgery rumors

As a dedicated follower of the Bollywood industry, I have always admired the talents that graced our screens in the 2000s. One such actress who left an indelible mark on my heart is none other than Rimi Sen. With her charming smile and impeccable comic timing, she was a force to be reckoned with.

Reflecting on the past, it’s clear that numerous individuals have played crucial roles in making our beloved films unforgettable. One such actress graced the screen alongside actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, and many others. At the peak of her career, she chose to take a step back from the industry.

Speaking of whom, let’s not forget Rimi Sen – a familiar face from the 2000s. She gained widespread recognition and admiration for her performances in Hindi, Telegu, and Bengali movies.

Originally named Subhamitra Sen, Rimi embarked on her modeling career during her teenage years. Later in 1996, she entered the Bengali film industry as a child actress through the movie ‘Damu’. In 2002, she transitioned into a leading role with the Telugu film, ‘Nee Thodu Kavali’. The following year marked her entrance into Bollywood with the comedy production, ‘Hungama’ (2003).

Her debut Bollywood hit opened the door for her to appear in numerous movies such as Baghban (2003), Dhoom (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Kyon Ki (2005), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Johnny Gaddaar (2007), and many more. These films helped establish her as a prominent figure in the industry.

2011 was the last time she was spotted, Shagird. Her final film appearance was Budhia Singh – Born to Run, which received recognition in the Best Children’s Film category at the 63rd National Awards. Furthermore, she dipped her toes into television and took part in Bigg Boss in 2015. Additionally, she joined the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa as a wild card entry in 2016.

For the last 13 years, she’s kept a low profile, steering clear of movies.

In an interview with Hindustan Times earlier this year, she explained her motivation for seeking out different roles by saying, “I had grown weary of doing comedy films as there were limited opportunities for me to showcase my acting abilities beyond playing ‘furniture’ roles. I only had significant parts in a handful of movies like Hungama and Johnny Gaddaar, but the latter didn’t succeed, and that’s the kind of work I aspire to do.”

Although collaborating with prominent figures in Bollywood, the actress openly disclosed her lack of contact within the industry. She clarified that she wouldn’t ask anyone for assistance due to the need to beg, emphasizing the reasoning behind the unwillingness to help unless it benefited oneself.

Regarding her online popularity, Rimi boasts an enormous fan base, as she has more than a million followers on Instagram.

Lately, headlines have been buzzing about Rimi Sen due to rumors of her having plastic surgery. The chatter began when photos of the actress from before and after surfaced online, leading many to believe she had undergone a surgical procedure. However, Rimi herself playfully dismissed these assumptions, stating that she only receives “injectable fillers, Botox treatments, and PRP therapy.”

To the previously mentioned platform, the actress conveyed that if people were assuming positively about her, and such assumptions were indeed true, she found this to be beneficial for herself.

The 42-year-old actor further discussed her thoughts on cosmetic treatments, stating that she may opt for a facelift when she reaches 50. She mentioned that there are skilled surgeons outside of India who specialize in this particular procedure, and it’s something she might consider in the future.
