Meta and Xbox are collaborating to bring a unique offering, unveiling the “Xbox Special Edition of Meta Quest 3” today – a special version of Meta’s mixed-reality headset, which was released towards the end of last year.

Tech giants have joined forces to introduce a package that includes a personalized Meta Quest 3S VR headset in Xbox’s distinctive “Carbon Black” and “Velocity Green” hues, along with coordinating Touch Plus controllers and Elite Strap. This package also debuts an Xbox controller within the box, which is pre-synced with the headset for easy setup straight out of the box. Notably, this controller, available in a new, custom design color, is also compatible with various gaming devices such as both the Xbox Series X and Series S, as well as Macs and PCs.

Previously, these two entities have worked together; in fact, a couple of years back, the Xbox app for Quest made its debut. This enabled gamers to broadcast an extensive library of games on a colossal 26-foot virtual screen via their Quest headset through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta). As part of its “Play Anywhere” initiative, Microsoft, who owns the Xbox brand, aims to transform any digital display into an Xbox.
