Before the upcoming holiday season, the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed the upcoming Meta Quest 3S, Meta’s next-generation mixed-reality headset scheduled for release in 2024.
You can now place a pre-order for the device from Tuesday, October 15th onwards, with prices starting at $299.99 at Target, Best Buy, and Amazon before its official launch.

The Meta Quest 3S package includes a Virtual Reality headset, two upgraded Touch Plus controllers, and as an added bonus, you’ll receive a complimentary digital version of the action-packed VR game “Batman: Arkham Shadow” (valued at $49.99).
This device boasts Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon XR2 processor, similar to what’s found in the Meta Quest 3. Consequently, it delivers more intricate and fluid graphics compared to the Quest 2. Additionally, the audio system in the latest model is 40% louder, providing 3D sound that’s both clear and robust with a powerful bass.
Furthermore, the Touch Plus controllers on the Quest 3S offer superior precision for navigation, tracking, and haptic feedback, surpassing the ring controllers of the Quest 2. This enhancement results in more realistic and immersive sensations during your virtual experiences. The Quest 3S also offers a controller-free experience through its Direct Touch feature, which tracks hand movements, while the headset itself is designed for comfort.
The Meta Quest 3S is available in two versions: a 128GB one and another, pricier one with 256GB. Both these models offer an immersive mixed-reality experience, where virtual images seamlessly merge with your physical environment. The 256GB version costs $399.99. As a bonus, you’ll receive a three-month subscription to Meta Quest+, valued at $23.97 ($7.99 per month), when you purchase either model.
