In this final chapter, things are set to become even more intricate.
Initially, let’s clarify what we mean by “Methods”. In this narrative, 100 detectives are pitted against cunning criminals in a competition to solve a sequence of crimes. The prize for both groups is $1m, while for the detective it represents an opportunity of a lifetime, and for the criminal, it offers a chance at parole, regardless of the gravity of their offenses.
Despite the high stakes involved, Methods presents the subject matter in a playful manner, incorporating fashionable artwork and vibrant visual effects that echo Danganronpa’s style. The game doesn’t require heavy mental exertion, as it focuses on solving crimes through straightforward observation and multiple-choice questions while navigating each crime scene.
The final problem
In this fifth method, we reach the end of the Methods saga as the last detective steps into the sixth phase. Additionally, the new DLC titled Methods: The Deception of Murders is included as a bonus. Although some might find the episodic structure somewhat predictable, I’m confident that those who have been eagerly awaiting the conclusion to the Methods series will be thrilled by this final installment.
