Jimmy Humble, the CEO of Rancho Humble, the influential Mexican-American music label, is venturing into film production and television.
On Tuesday, Humilde unveiled the premiere of his banner’s first major film, titled Clika, which is directed by Michael Greene and revolves around an ambitious musician struggling to uphold his family’s heritage. This drama will make its way to cinemas on August 15, 2025, courtesy of a theatrical release handled by Columbia Pictures and Sony Music Vision.
This movie is opening up a fresh chapter of possibilities and visibility for Mexican-American artists in the film industry, according to Humilde. For years, we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes, but now it’s time to shine brightly and demonstrate our true potential,” Humilde stated. The cast of Clika includes Jay Dee from Rancho Humilde, Cristian Gutierrez, Daniel Lopez, Laura Lopez, Nana Ponceleon, OhGeesy, Eric Roberts, Uziel Pantoja, Josh Benitez, Francine Sena, Percy Miller, and Peter Greene.
This instance significantly shifts the dynamic, benefiting us, future generations, and anyone who’s felt excluded from decision-making. We’re no longer mere participants; we’re shaping the discourse. This is merely the start,” Humilde emphasized. The deal for distribution involves a prominent Latin record label collaborating with Sony Music Latin and Columbia Pictures.
Jimmy, a revolutionary music producer, has revolutionized the sound of Mexican music through his innovative approach. His influential work in the realm of music paves the way for fresh voices, unique narratives, and potential film stars. We are excited to collaborate with Sony Music Latin on the release of his debut film titled Clika. Sanford Panitch, president of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group, expressed his enthusiasm about this partnership in his own statement.
As a devoted fan, I’d like to share that this amazing film is brought to life by a stellar team including Humilde, Roque Venegas, Jose Becerra, Dee, and Sean McBride as executive producers. The captivating script was masterfully crafted by Humilde, Greene, and McBride, with producing credits also shared by Dave “Foots” Footman, Ski-ter Jones, and Lalo the Giant.
