‘MF Ghost’ Returns This Fall With Season Two TV Anime

As a gamer who grew up in the golden age of anime and manga, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming second season of MF Ghost! Having been a die-hard fan of Initial D since its early days, I’ve eagerly awaited this sequel like a cat waits for fresh milk.

As someone who has been deeply invested in the world of anime for over two decades, I must admit that I am beyond thrilled about the latest news regarding MF Ghost! Having followed this series since its debut, I can confidently say that it has consistently delivered an exceptional blend of action, mystery, and character development. The confirmation of a second season and the announcement of a new theme song is music to my ears. This news has rekindled my anticipation for more captivating storylines and unforgettable moments in the world of MF Ghost. I can hardly wait!

MF Ghost, originally derived from Shuuichi Shigeno’s comic book, is often recognized as the follow-up to the legendary and extremely popular Japanese street racing manga, Initial D. This influential work sparked a string of groundbreaking anime series, films, and video games that shaped their respective eras.

In October 2023, the initial season of MF Ghost debuted and wrapped up its broadcast around mid-December. The final episode concluded right as Kanata Rivington embarked on his race at the Lake Ashinoko GT qualifying round. As suggested by the latest sneak peek, the upcoming season seems to pick up directly from where the previous one ended.

The freshly released tune titled “ROCK ME KISS ME feat. MOTSU,” penned and sung by Yu Serizawa, is an energetic electronic number – the same artist behind the opening theme song from the initial season.

In October 2024, the second season of the anime series “MF Ghost” is set to air on multiple Japanese television channels. At the same time, viewers can stream it online through Crunchyroll.
