As a hardcore gamer and baseball enthusiast who has spent countless hours playing MLB The Show, I can’t help but feel a pang of jealousy seeing this MFC Store x Fanatics collaboration honoring Shohei Ohtani. Living on the other side of the Pacific, I’ve only been able to watch the Dodgers phenom from afar, cheering him on in virtual games and dreaming about the day I could see him play live at Dodger Stadium.
The MFC Store in Tokyo is partnering with Fanatics on a special line of merchandise celebrating LA Dodgers player, Shohei Ohtani.
This collaboration, part of the MFC Store Custom Collection, is spearheaded by a distinctive white and blue baseball shirt showcasing a Dodgers chest emblem and the last name and #17 of the designated hitter printed at the back. Accompanying this piece are two New Era 59FIFTY caps in “Black” and “Blue.” Both caps boast the Dodgers logo on the front, with the athlete’s last name, jersey number, New Era logo, and a signature on the visor.
Take a look at the capsule displayed above. The MFC Store Custom Collection raffle is in progress until December 27th, with the baseball shirt priced at approximately $125 USD (19,800 JPY) and the cap at around $60 USD (9,350 JPY).
