Following some years of playful interactions, it’s now official that the popular franchise, Creed, will make its debut on television. Michael B. Jordan, along with his production company Outlier Society, is all set to bring a fresh series to Amazon Prime Video.
The inaugural live-action TV series within the Creed universe, titled Delphi, is set to unfold at its namesake boxing gym and revolve around the vibrant youths who dominate the ring. As of now, specifics about the storyline are scarce, but Marco Ramírez (La Máquina) has been confirmed as showrunner and executive producer.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve seen the epic journey of the Creed franchise unfold over three blockbuster movies. Collectively, these films have raked in an astonishing $660 million at the global box office, with each new release adding to its impressive tally. The latest addition, Creed III, smashed records by grossing a whopping $276 million worldwide!
Certainly, “Creed” was indeed a 2015 reboot of Sylvester Stallone’s iconic “Rocky” series. The original actor featured in the first two movies, while Michael B. Jordan took the lead role across all three films, portraying Adonis “Donnie” Creed.
The series titled “Delphi” is set to debut on Prime Video in over 240 countries and regions worldwide. This production will also be handled by Liz Raposo from Outlier Society, along with Irwin Winkler, David Winkler, and Charles Winkler from Winkler Films.
Outlier Society is repped by M88, WME, and attorney Greg Slewett.
