The Emmy award-winning actor appeared on stage at a panel for Elsbeth during New York Comic Con over the weekend to reveal his role in the upcoming project. A preview of the forthcoming Halloween episode was additionally shared during this panel, which included a discussion, led by Laura Benanti who starred as Elsbeth’s guest, among co-creators and executive producers Robert and Michelle King, showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tolins, as well as cast members Carrie Preston and Wendell Pierce.
In the TV show “Lost,” Emerson takes on a role that provides contrast to his character Elsbeth Tascioni, portraying Judge Milton Crawford. This character is a proud, quiet and spectacled gentleman from a long line of New England public servants who believes his position among the nation’s elite is something he was born into.
In the new season, character Elsbeth finds herself dealing with fresh cases and obstacles as old errors resurface for her, Captain Wagner, and Officer Kaya Blanke, according to a recent press announcement. Elsbeth Tascioni, portrayed by Carrie Preston, is a shrewd but offbeat lawyer who employs her distinctive perspective to spot unusual patterns and apprehend cunning criminals and murderers alongside the NYPD.
The series is inspired by the central figure from both “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight.” Executive producers for this production include Robert King, Michelle King, Jonathan Tolins, Liz Glotzer, Erica Shelton Kodish, Bryan Goluboff, and Gail Barringer.
The second season of the show “Elsbeth” started on October 17th, however, the initial episode with Emerson is set to be aired on December 12th on CBS television network, and it will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
