As a die-hard comedy enthusiast who’s spent countless nights laughing my way through countless venues, I can hardly contain my excitement for Mike Young’s upcoming movie, “Stealing Jokes.” Having toured with comedy greats like Bob Saget and Dave Chappelle, Young knows the ins and outs of the comedy world better than most.

On November 1, the digital film distribution arm of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group will be releasing a movie they recently acquired. This release will be made both in theaters and through digital platforms and DVD. The diverse cast includes Jeff Dye from “The Wedding Year”, Dustin Ybarra from “Easter Sunday”, HaHa Davis from “Domino: Battle of the Bones”, Michael Rapaport known for “Beautiful Girls”, Luke Null from “Saturday Night Live”, Ryu Go Eun from “Everything’s Trash”, Al Madrigal from “Night School” and Michael Manasseri, famously seen in “Weird Science”.
Swindled Laughs” revolves around a comedian and his companions, who embark on a comedy tour only to find themselves cheated out of their due earnings on the opening night. young (My Man Is a Loser) developed and helmed the production following his stint as a comedian on tour with notable personalities like Bob Saget, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Dave Chappelle. Manasseri and Jeremy Alter serve as producers for this movie.
The launch coincides with the commencement of Young’s Rock Comedy tour, spanning across 25 cities, which kicks off in Phoenix on October 11th. Young and his fellow comedians will conclude this tour in Detroit, the city where the movie Stealing Jokes was produced.
Young expressed his long-held dream in a statement: creating a movie that highlights comedians finally receiving their recognition. Having spent years performing alongside Bob Saget and witnessing the worldwide impact of stand-up comedy, he felt it fitting to narrate this story through an inspiring underdog narrative about up-and-coming comics. The actors surpassed expectations – Jeff Dye, Dustin Ybarra, Ha Ha Davis showed immense talent, while Luke Null was outstanding.
