As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I have seen countless fights, battles, and skirmishes unfold across various virtual realms. However, the upcoming boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul on November 15th is one that has piqued my interest like no other.
The unfortunate postponement of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s boxing match on Netflix, initially set for an earlier date, occurred due to Tyson’s health issues following his experience of feeling unwell and lightheaded during air travel. However, this delay provides both combatants with additional time to engage in more verbal sparring as we draw nearer to their battle scheduled for November 15th. Both fighters remain active in exchanging barbs and gestures, and it seems they are also planning to lift weights while wearing a fat suit in preparation.
Preparing for the live stream of this fight on Netflix, both fighters are leaving no stone unturned to create buzz, sometimes taking digs at each other in the process. The recent exchange started with Tyson’s assertive comment during a late-night TV show and an unusual Instagram post by Paul.
Mike Tyson Sounds Confident He’ll Beat Jake Paul
As a gamer putting myself in Mike Tyson’s shoes, I appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where I fielded questions about my upcoming fight with Jake Paul. I talked about the general aspects of my training routine and why I chose to step into the ring with the young boxer. Throughout the interview, Jimmy kept pushing me on the question everyone seemed curious about – would I “win” against Paul in the ring? To that, I finally admitted: “Well, Jimmy, as a fighter, my goal is always to come out victorious.
Very badly.
In his recent TV interview, Mike Tyson seemed to suggest he could defeat Jake Paul, a claim he’s made at past press events as well. However, there was an eerie intensity about how he expressed it this time around, almost as if the ruthless “Iron Mike” persona is making a comeback. It appears that the Tyson we’re seeing now isn’t just the amusing and somewhat goofy version that actors like Russell Crowe fear might disappear with this fight.
It seems to me that the aggressive nature of the fighter has likely been present all along, but I’m definitely picking up on a greater intensity and determination in him regarding the upcoming battle.
Jake Paul Posted A Video Lifting Fake Weights While Wearing A Fat Suit
I’d argue that Jake Paul has taken this fight more seriously than some of his past contests, but I guess it was only a matter of time before his iconic trolling tendencies started to come out. After Tyson previously called him “Fat and funky” at a promotional Netflix press event, Paul seemingly responded on Instagram with the following video:

The video depicts Jake Paul wearing a padded suit that exaggerates his stomach size. Interestingly, he lifts an impressive amount of weight, yet it appears these weights might be merely props meant for spectacle instead of genuine strength training. This video would seem unusual if posted by another fighter, but given Jake Paul’s reputation, his fans have grown accustomed to such content.
It seems Jake Paul might be stirring up trouble again with Mike Tyson, an action I warned could happen before. Provoking a legend like Tyson isn’t wise as it may make him perceive Jake as not taking him seriously as a real contender. This could potentially lead to Tyson training more rigorously, and given his intention to defeat Jake “severely,” there might be no worse outcome for the YouTuber than that.
If Tyson didn’t really mean that he would struggle to defeat Paul, which seems incredibly uncertain, we’ll presume instead that he will likely perform well against him.
While we anticipate the upcoming battle between Paul and Tyson on November 15th, we plan to keep ourselves entertained by checking out new Netflix series and films in the meantime. I’m absolutely thrilled about their match, let’s hope there won’t be any more postponements so we can witness if skill will trump age in the boxing ring!
