Now, this mother of two has collaborated with Toms, a footwear brand based in Los Angeles, to reimagine their iconic Alpargata slip-on shoe, which was first introduced in 2006.
You can now purchase the Toms x Jamie Mizrahi shoe, a special edition design, both online on toms.com and in Nordstrom stores. This stylish shoe is available in five elegant suede colors: brown, black, purple, cobalt, and red. The shoes are offered in sizes for women, men, and children, priced between $60 and $100. As an added touch, the dust bags and sock liners feature artwork created by Mizrahi’s sons, Yale and Cy, blending their unique styles together.

Mizrahi has been a long-time fan of Alpargatas, which resemble Toms shoes. He recalls visiting the first store in Venice and their collaboration with The Row in 2011. He admires the brand’s values and pioneering one-for-one donation model. Alpargatas represent an inclusive community that aligns with his personal beliefs, making the partnership feel natural. Additionally, he appreciates that the shoes are easy for his children to put on independently, reducing the need for assistance during morning routines.
Apart from introducing suede material on the shoes for the first time, Mizrahi mentions that she also adjusted the shoe’s shape. “We gave the design a somewhat bulkier look,” she explains, “as I’m currently drawn to thicker footwear and something more substantial suits both men and women.” She further notes that she often pairs these shoes with skirts, dresses, jeans, sweatpants, and even wears some as slides after wearing the soles down.
