Milo Ventimiglia and his wife, Jarah Mariano, are officially parents!
Mariano announced on Instagram last Friday that they had their first child, Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia, on January 23rd. Alongside this news, he posted a picture showing the lower part of their newborn as well as their pet dog’s paw.
In a touching message, Mariano reminisced over the past several weeks, recounting their tragic loss of their home due to the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles, as well as their exciting transition into parenthood for the very first time.
Homeless but never left without a home. Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia returns on January 23rd, 24. On the 7th, my family and I were forced to leave our residence due to the Palisades Fire. Sadly, we lost both the house we were living in and the one under construction that we were about to move into, along with all our belongings. At the time, I was 38 weeks pregnant and had recently evacuated during the Franklin Fire as well. The fact that I got a chance to practice evacuation beforehand is like a blessing, though the upcoming disaster was inevitable. I am also extremely thankful that we managed to leave the Palisades Fire during the daytime, giving us a sense of readiness and not catching us unawares in the dead of night.
Mariano went on to say, “My family and I are united, content, well, and secure – and that’s what truly counts. We are incredibly appreciative of all the heroes who fight fires and care for those impacted in the long term. This rebuilding phase will take time for many, but we remain hopeful and eager for the fresh beginnings that lie ahead! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has offered support during this challenging period – friends, family, my delivery team, hospital staff, companies providing aid, the LA community, and beyond. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us.
A friendly heads-up to everyone: let’s give Jarah Milo Ke’a Duke some room and time to care for their newborn during this sensitive period. They have more than enough supplies on hand, and they’ll return with updates whenever they’re ready. Wishing them Aloha + Light always.

Previously this month, Ventimiglia shared with CBS News that his Malibu home was destroyed by the Palisades Fire which ravaged their community. When the incident occurred, the actor from “This Is Us” and “Gilmore Girls” revealed they had already prepared a nursery for their upcoming baby, making the loss even more heartbreaking to comprehend.
He mentioned, “As you begin to reflect on various memories scattered throughout the house and more, and then you glance at your neighbors’ homes and the surroundings, your heart can’t help but ache.
