Minecraft Is Getting a Free Movie DLC That Includes a Steve Jack Black

Following the triumphs of movies such as Sonic the Hedgehog and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Mojang Studios is now eagerly moving ahead with their Minecraft film. For enthusiasts of the game, there’s an exclusive treat in store for you!

By the weekend, a big-screen adaptation of Minecraft will hit theatres, and the game creators have announced additional Downloadable Content (DLC) inspired by the movie. This exciting new DLC includes fresh characters and unique in-game settings that players are eagerly anticipating.

A Minecraft Movie DLC

According to the official trailer, the DLC features playable characters modeled after those from the movie such as Garett (Jason Momoa), Steve (Jack Black), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Danielle Brooks). Additionally, it includes unique missions inspired by certain scenes in the film.

Three Game Modes

The downloadable content (DLC) offers three primary gaming modes, each influenced by key movie moments. These include:

1. Scene-inspired mode A,
2. Scene-inspired mode B, and
3. Scene-inspired mode C.

  • –First Night Survival – Though surviving the first night is already a classic Minecraft challenge, this updated version of the game mode will have players go up against waves of all kinds of creepers and enemies. The essential goal is to survive for as long as possible which will help rack up points so you can achieve a high score.
  • –Mansion Stealth – Not as action-packed as FNS, Mansion Stealth will have players sneaking around a mansion avoiding Endermen, evokers, and vindicators. The goal of the game mode is to collect Earth Crystals that are hidden in chests all over the mansion.
  • –Elytra Race – Trailers for the movie had already showcased an item called Elytra Wings, andit looks like the film is going to have a chase in a canyon where the main characters will be flying away from enemies on their wings.Like any other racing game, players will have to avoid obstacles and collect power-ups to shorten their time and beat other players on the leaderboard.

Great Early Reviews

Despite not having been released yet, there’s been plenty of positive buzz surrounding “A Minecraft Movie.” Some have even suggested that it’s an exciting children’s adventure that many gamers will appreciate due to its numerous clever references (or “easter eggs”).

It’s somewhat surprising that the film is already receiving such positive acclaim, and some people are even humorously suggesting that it’s being showered with overly positive reviews, although this is really just a tongue-in-cheek way of saying it’s getting an exceptional start.
