‘Missing You’: Rosalind Eleazar Finds Lost Fiancé on Dating App in Trailer for Netflix’s Next Harlan Coben Adaptation

As a fan with a penchant for gripping mysteries and captivating narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Netflix series, “Missing You,” starring the talented Rosalind Eleazar. Having followed Harlan Coben’s works over the years, I’ve come to appreciate his knack for weaving intricate plots that keep me on the edge of my seat.

In the captivating preview of Netflix’s newest Harlan Coben adaptation, “Missing You,” I found myself reconnecting with a past love who had been long lost to me on a dating app.

On Monday, the complete trailer was unveiled, featuring Eleazar in the role of detective Kat Donovan, who is particularly skilled in solving Missing Persons cases. Over a decade ago, her beloved fiancé Josh (portrayed by Ashley Walters) mysteriously disappeared without any trace, and since then, she hasn’t received any communication from him.

As she scrolls through dating app profiles, she encounters a familiar face that sends shockwaves through her: it’s Josh. His sudden reemergrence triggers her to delve once more into the enigma of her father’s murder and uncover old secrets hidden in her past.

Starting January 1, 2025, the five-part series will become available worldwide on Netflix, following the unprecedented success of the adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel “Fool Me Once.” This year, it was Netflix’s most-watched television show.

In addition to the main cast, Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, Lisa Faulkner, and James Nesbitt are also set to make appearances.

The show “Missing You” is created by Quay Street Productions, a division of ITV Studios. Eric Coben acts as the executive producer for this series under his own production company, Final Twist Productions.

Following the pattern of past Harlan Coben adaptations, Missing You transposes the narrative from the United States to the United Kingdom. The filming was done primarily in Manchester and the northern regions of England.
