It appears that the rumors are indeed accurate, as it seems “Mission: Impossible 8” will serve as a concluding chapter, or “The Final Reckoning.” The trailer hints at various callbacks to earlier installments in the series, such as the knife from the initial “Mission: Impossible” and the enigmatic “Rabbit’s Foot” from “Mission: Impossible III.” In addition to Tom Cruise, “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” features a cast that includes Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, Hayley Atwell as Grace, Pom Klementieff as Paris, and Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs. Where Did We Leave Off With Ethan Hunt & His Team?
The movie “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” will once again see Tom Cruise pushing boundaries, as he’s confirmed to perform a daring stunt involving hanging from an overturned plane without a parachute. This is just one of the thrilling action scenes expected in the film, where Ethan Hunt and his team are on a mission to protect everything and everyone.
Previously, we witnessed Tom Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt, in a race-against-time scenario, attempting to save mankind, in “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” released in July of the previous year. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie and co-written with Erik Jendresen, this “Mission: Impossible” sequel sees Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt who now battles against a rogue AI known as “The Entity.” Joined by his IMF team, Hunt embarks on the most perilous mission yet to prevent a terrifying new weapon from endangering humanity. As the world hangs in the balance, a global chase commences. Haunted by past demons and faced with an enigmatic, omnipotent adversary, Ethan must determine his limits in order to accomplish his mission.
Similar to previous Mission: Impossible films by Cruise and McQuarrie, such as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, has garnered outstanding praise with an impressive 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have praised it, stating that “with high-stakes global peril and grand action sequences to match its grand title, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One demonstrates this franchise remains a must-watch.
