MM6 Maison Margiela Named Pitti Uomo's Next Guest Designer

As a gamer with a keen eye for fashion, this news about MM6 Maison Margiela being the guest designer at Pitti Uomo 107 has me absolutely thrilled! I’ve always admired their unique take on menswear and the deconstructed sartorialwear they’re known for. The fact that they’ll be exclusively presenting their Fall 2025 collection is just mind-blowing!

Maison Margiela MM6 has been selected as the guest designer for Pitti Uomo 107, an event happening at Florence’s Fortezza da Basso from January 14 to 17. Details about the specific date and format for presenting their Fall 2025 collection are yet to be revealed, but it has been confirmed that the presentation will focus solely on menswear fashion. (WWD reports this development.)

We’re delighted and eager to be chosen as the guest designer for Pitti Uomo in January, which is one of the world’s leading men’s fashion fairs. Our goal is to embody the style and essence of MM6, crafting a unique menswear collection tailored for Florence. It’s been almost 20 years since Maison Margiela last graced the Pitti stage, and we can’t wait to reintroduce ourselves and present a contemporary men’s wardrobe that reflects the attitude, ideas, and methods of MM6,” the brand’s design team shared with the outlet.

As a devoted follower, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be standing side by side with Maison Margiela at an upcoming event, joining Satoshi Kuwata’s Setchu, announced as the fair’s additional guest designer in September. These esteemed labels follow in the footsteps of Marine Serre, S.S. Daley, ERL’s Eli Russell Linnetz, Grace Wales Bonner, Magliano, JW Anderson, Craig Green, and many other designers who have graced this honorable title in previous seasons. I can hardly wait!

Francesca Tacconi, Pitti Immagine’s special events coordinator, noted that the intentional provocation found in each MM6 piece feels almost routine. “MM6 examines various stances and actions happening right now,” she said. “These become symbols of internal rebellion, and independent expressions of a collection embracing the allure and surprises of imperfection. It appears to us as a contemporary reinterpretation of origins, where deconstructed fashion meets unique individuality.
