As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest announcement from Bandai Namco Filmworks has truly piqued my interest. The fusion of traditional anime storytelling with cutting-edge VR technology is something I’ve been waiting for since I first strapped on a bulky headset and ventured into the digital realm.
Bandai Namco Filmworks has unveiled a fresh promotional video for the forthcoming anime, “Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom,” which incorporates cutting-edge interactive virtual reality technology.
The movie is jointly produced with Atlas V, a French company that specializes in creating immersive virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) video games, experiences, and installations. Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom will utilize mixed reality (MR) technology, enabling and engaging viewers to participate in the movie’s events.
In this movie, the action unfolds in the year 0096 within the Gundam universe, three years after the Earth Federation and Neo Zeon’s last major battle. The narrative focuses on Argen Keil, a clandestine group that doesn’t align with either Zeon or the Federation, as they embark on a mission to eliminate a specific target.
