Modern Warfare 3’s new weapons turn Call of Duty into The Hunger Games

Modern Warfare 3's new weapons turn Call of Duty into The Hunger Games

As a long-time Call of Duty enthusiast with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit that the monotony of modern warfare has been creeping up on me. The annual release cycle of advanced military weaponry has become as predictable as the rising and setting of the sun. However, Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 Reloaded has managed to shake things up in a most exhilarating way – by introducing a Hunger Games-inspired twist!

It seems that some people have grown tired of traditional role-playing games (RPGs) or first-person shooter games like Call of Duty, as they’ve become somewhat repetitive after nine months and more than two decades of the same annual releases featuring similar weapons and gameplay patterns. Are you looking for alternatives that offer a fresh perspective?

Instead of relying on bullets, why not switch things up and take up archery and spearfishing in Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 Reloaded? The penultimate season of this game swaps out modern weapons for traditional ones, similar to the Hunger Games, with bows, arrows, and spears taking center stage.

Despite a sprinkle of oversized humor in titles such as “The Hungry Games” and “Robin ‘Food,” renowned content creator Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar is showcasing the latest additions to Modern Warfare 3.

As an avid fan, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to my gaming arsenal – the Torque 35 launcher! This innovative bow offers a variety of ammo types, each altering its performance to suit different combat situations. Recently, TimTheTatman demonstrated his Katniss Everdeen-esque skills on the battlefield, firing arrows with precision and amassing an impressive killstreak. It’s clear that this new tool is set to revolutionize the way I play!

Betar demonstrated the agility and strength of the weapon, making it clear that VALORANT enthusiasts might catch a hint of Sova-like functionality. One arrow in particular possesses a scanning ability, exposing hidden enemy positions.

Hunting equipment is taking over from guns in Call of Duty

Instead, other players have selected weapons reminiscent of Finnick Odair’s arsenal from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, rather than choosing items from the cornucopia as others did.

In contrast to Sam Claflin’s trident from the third Quarter Quell, the recently introduced fishing Spear in Modern Warfare 3 is gaining considerable popularity within Warzone. Players have been adopting ghillie suit camouflage and ambushing opponents in bushes with their spears, resulting in fatal strikes.

They should not have added a spear into Warzone

Additionally, when the spear strikes an enemy, it results in a comical demise: Upon being pierced, enemies are held against various surfaces until the spear vanishes, leaving their lifeless bodies to drop down.

Instead of guns, it’s all about hunting equipment now. To make things more exciting, let’s bring our beloved Peeta Mellark pair closer together. If we’re lucky, we might witness a complete Hunger Games scenario in Warzone, where firearms are obsolete, and players can only rely on bows, arrows, knives, and spears for combat.
