In a kind gesture, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan came over and offered me a shawl to keep warm. Yet, with an awkward refusal, I replied, “No no, I can’t accept it.

The actress later confided, “Yash Chopra then approached me and said, ‘If Amitabh Bachchan had given me that shawl, I would have grabbed it, rushed home, and never returned it.’ To this day, I wish I had taken it.

Beyond our conversation, let me share an intriguing insight I gained about Big B. As I reminisce, I can’t help but describe him as a perpetual child at heart. During our filming days, he would jokingly request not to be seated with the older crew members. Instead, he’d prefer joining us youngsters, eager to catch up on all the chatter we were sharing.

Additionally, during the discussion, Preeti confessed that her acting career became limited after Mohabbatein, as she was often pigeonholed into similar roles. She explained that following the film’s release, people began perceiving her in a specific way, and as a result, she was only offered roles of this kind. When she attempted to take on more daring projects, she faced strong criticism.

The actress looked back on the controversy that ensued when she removed her shawl during a song scene filmed in the rain for the movie Chaahat-Ek Nasha.
