On March 14, 2025, Ayan Mukerji’s father, Deb Mukherjee, sadly passed away. Yesterday, family members and friends gathered at Ayan’s home and later at the burial site to express their final farewells. Recently, pregnant actress Kiara Advani, who is working with Ayan on the film War 2, was seen visiting his residence to extend her condolences.
On March 15th, I had the opportunity to spot Kiara Advani pulling up at Ayan Mukerji’s residence in my vehicle. Clad in a crisp white blouse and relaxed trousers, she was warmly greeted by an individual as she approached the entrance of the house.

Yesterday, it was noticed that Hrithik Roshan, co-star of Kiara Advani in War 2, attended Deb Mukherjee’s funeral at the cremation ground using crutches. It appears that Hrithik suffered a leg injury while rehearsing for a dance sequence in the film.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who were in Alibaug for Alia’s birthday festivities, hurriedly returned to Mumbai. They stopped by their friend Ayan Mukerji’s home to offer support during a difficult period, and later attended the funeral. Ranbir has teamed up with the director on numerous films, while Alia joined forces with him for Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.
Karan Johar, along with Kajol, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Salim Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Anil Kapoor, and Kiran Rao, all make their way to offer their condolences.
For the past several months, Ayan Mukerji has been occupied with the filming of War 2. Alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, Jr NTR will also contribute significantly to this upcoming movie. It’s the next chapter in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe and a follow-up to War, which was directed by Siddharth Anand in 2019.
According to a recent exclusive report by TopMob, it appears that Kiara Advani is focusing on her personal life at the moment, particularly her pregnancy, which she announced last month. This means that while she’s still working on projects like War 2 and Toxic, she has decided to temporarily step back from Don 3 in order to prioritize her family life with her husband, Sidharth Malhotra.
