With her impressive resume spanning from the gritty Western world of Hell or High Water to the mystical realms of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the thrilling prehistoric chase in Prey, I have no doubt that Midthunder’s portrayal of an intelligent and powerful businesswoman will add a fresh, captivating dynamic to the MonsterVerse.
In the early stages of its 2024 television programming, the first season of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” concluded on Apple TV+, and shortly after, the platform announced that the series would continue with Season 2. Filming for Season 2 began at the end of July, but details about what we can anticipate when we return to this part of the MonsterVerse have been scarce. However, today brings exciting news – actress Amber Midthunder from “Prey” has joined the cast of Monarch Season 2, and I’m eager to discover her character’s role within the storyline.
In the upcoming Season 2 of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”, Midthunder has been unveiled as the latest addition to the roster, with Variety revealing that she will portray a “shrewd and formidable businesswoman”. This actress is predominantly recognized for her role as Naru in the prequel of “Predator” titled “Prey”, which is set in 1719 and can be viewed on Hulu with a subscription. Amongst her other significant roles are appearances in “Hell or High Water”, “Legion”, and Netflix’s adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.
