This remarkable monster, with a wyvern-like appearance that moves on four legs, exhibits captivating similarities to other Elder Dragons.

Gore Magala Weaknesses
As a Demi Elder, Gore Magala stands out as a formidable adversary with immense power, making it a tough opponent to encounter early in the game. This impressive beast is exclusive to High-Rank content and is usually encountered during the later stages of the main storyline. However, just like every monster in the game, Gore Magala has weaknesses that can be exploited to inflict severe damage upon it.
Effective weapon attack styles for combating the Demi Elder are slashing and blunt force attacks. Choose from a longsword, hammer, double swords, or a sword and shield based on your preferred gameplay style and abilities.
To inflict the most harm on Gore Magala, stick to utilizing Dragon, Thunder, and Fire elemental attacks. Here are some noteworthy items you might want to carry with you:
For maximum damage against Gore Magala, focus on using Dragon, Thunder, and Fire-based attacks. Some valuable items to have on hand include:

When it comes to status afflictions, this creature mainly suffers from blastblight and fatigue. If you’re considering Flash Pods or Sonic Bombs, I recommend using Shock Traps or Pitfall Traps instead, as the former are not effective against Gore Magala.
As a gamer, I’ve found that whacking a monster’s antenna, head, and tail during combat tends to be most effective. For an even bigger payoff, take aim at the antenna, wings, and tail of the fearsome Gore Magala – doing so will maximize my item drops!
Gore Magala Moveset
In regular mode, Gore Magala mainly uses slashing attacks and grappling moves for assaults. However, when it sustains significant damage, it enters a second, altered state where its attack style becomes more varied.
However, when the Demi Elder falls into a frenzy, or what’s often referred to as its “enraged” state, it gains speed and aggression. A clear indicator of this metamorphosis is the emergence of large horns on its head. Furthermore, vivid pinkish markings spread across the creature’s body during this transformation.
To deescalate the angry state of the monster, you’ll need to bring it down when you’re both on the ground. If you manage to do this, you’ll notice that its horns are gone and there are pinkish highlights – a sign that your attempt was successful.

- Roar (Special): Temporarily immobilizes you.
- Frenzy (Special): If you’re fully infected by the Frenzy Virus, you’ll take more damage.
- Wing Strike: Gore Magala will take a step forward and slam the clawed tip of its wings to the ground. This can inflict Frenzy on you and a direct hit will send you flying. Enraged hits harder and faster, and may hit with a follow-up wing attack.
- Wing Slam: Gore Magala will stand on its hind legs before crushing you with its wing arms. Enraged hits faster and with a chance to instantly kill you on impact.
- Frenzy Projectile: Gore Magala will launch a single or three projectiles of Frenzy virus to targets. The triple version is tricky because it will force you to move quickly from left to right or vice versa.
- Frenzy Slam: Gore Magala’s ultimate move and is unlocked when enraged. After a wing slam, the ground will shimmer in purple. Get away before the beast triggers it with a wing attack.
