Attention all hunters! A fresh update for Monster Hunter Wilds is coming soon, addressing a persistent progression problem as well as resolving frequent crashing issues and many other improvements.
Today, Capcom revealed that they will release patch version 1.000.05.00 on March 10th. This update is significant as it aims to rectify an issue that has been preventing players from progressing in Main Mission: Chapter 5-1 ‘Omens.’ Previous patches have addressed numerous bugs hindering game progress, but this particular bug seems to have gone unnoticed.
In other areas, we’re planning some enhancements for the game’s reliability, addressing issues such as:
1. A problem that could lead to crashes or abnormal behavior of certain monsters under specific conditions.
2. An issue that causes the game to abruptly close when starting a game with previously saved data that was force-quit.
Both of these problems are slated for resolution.
Regarding monstrous behaviors that are oddly inconsistent, there’s an issue at hand where severed monster limbs or sections inexplicably change into components from entirely different monsters upon being detached. This problem is expected to be addressed in the upcoming update. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the massive wyvern Gravios, who currently lacks resistance to flinches following damage to its parts, will also receive adjustments in the same patch.
There are several issues with features in Capcom’s games that need addressing. For instance, the Palico support move, Attract Vigorwasps, might make your hunter temporarily unresponsive to controls. Additionally, you may have noticed that using Equipment Loadout occasionally causes decorations to vanish from your weapons. Furthermore, there are issues with Bowgun Customization resetting to default and Kinsects returning to their original rarity. Lastly, some rewards can be obtained multiple times under specific circumstances, which shouldn’t happen. However, all these problems should be fixed by Monday.
You can check out the full list of planned changes here, but it’s worth noting that certain fixes seemingly won’t be ready in time for the 1.000.05.00 patch. In a separate section of bugs not included in the list of “issues planned to be addressed in the next update,” Capcom mentions the network error you might get after using an SOS Flare immediately after a quest begins, as well as a problem where “Palico’s attacks with blunt weapons do not inflict stun and exhaust damages.”
It’s clear that we’ll see more adjustments – it’s yet to be determined whether additional enhancements can be made to the game’s PC version, a challenge some gamers have been facing.
