2025 is undeniably a massive milestone for the Monster Hunter franchise, with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds taking center stage. But it’s no surprise that even our earlier games are still moving units at a consistent rate. I’m talking about the sales figures straight from Capcom’s Platinum Titles page, folks!
By March 31st, the game “Monster Hunter Wilds” has reached a grand total of 28.5 million units sold. This figure includes the sales of its Master Edition, which encompasses the “Iceborne” expansion as well. Previously, it was at 28.1 million units by the end of 2024. Simultaneously, individual standalone sales for “Iceborne” have surged to 15.2 million units, a rise from 14.9 million units just three months ago.
The popular game “Monster Hunter Rise” continues to sell well, reaching a total of 17.1 million units since its release. During the first quarter of this year, it added an additional 400,000 units to its lifetime sales. Furthermore, its expansion pack, “Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak,” has surpassed 9.8 million units sold, with 9.4 million of those being the base game.
Indeed, another title that deserves mention is “Monster Hunter Wilds,” which saw impressive sales of 10.1 million copies since its debut in February and slightly surpassed the initial announced figure of 10 million units by March 31st.
Capcom has also announced updated sales for Resident Evil titles. Read more on that through here.
