Morgan Wallen unsurprisingly makes classless move on Saturday Night Live

Country artist Morgan Wallen was invited to perform on Saturday Night Live due to his popularity, which is logical as it attracts viewers to the show and potentially new fans for Wallen. Interestingly, some of the most memorable performances on SNL have been delivered by musicians not widely recognized yet, highlighting the value of introducing lesser-known talents.

Maybe when the popular series considers bringing Wallen back, they could consider inviting an artist that many people haven’t heard about yet instead. These lesser-known artists might value the opportunity more since it would expose them to millions who can easily purchase their music with a single click. Wallen doesn’t have that kind of esteem among the public.

On a show hosted by Mikey Madison from the TV series Arona, Wallen was the musical guest. He performed two songs, and the crowd’s reaction was diverse. It wasn’t that his tunes were truly poor. In fact, if you appreciate his music, chances are you enjoyed what he played. Nonetheless, New York City might not be Wallen’s perfect demographic. After all, it’s best to listen to him on the matter himself.

Morgan Wallen brings a lack of class to Saturday Night Live

During the final credits of the program, the presenter typically acknowledges the cast and the week’s musical guest with gratitude. Usually, everyone remains on stage, exchanging farewells with each other. However, Wallen chose to leave immediately after Madison expressed her thanks, walking off-stage while the camera was still rolling. After thanking him, Wallen said something to Madison before departing abruptly.

It was thought that he didn’t enjoy the cast, but the reality is, he shouldn’t have been asked to return. His previous SNL appearance was actually canceled back in October 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis, when images surfaced of him attending unmasked parties on social media. However, he did perform there in December 2020.

Following his stage exit, Wallen shared an Instagram post featuring a plane image accompanied by the comment, “Transport me to where God resides.” This could be understood as suggesting that Wallen perceives New York City, or his current location, as not being the place where God dwells.

Indeed, this individual, who had such disregard for the safety of others, infamously hurled a chair from a six-story bar in 2024. The carelessness of his action put many lives at risk as the chair could have easily injured someone severely. Subsequently, Wallen admitted to his actions and was punished with DUI classes and two years of probation. However, his utter lack of consideration for others was strikingly evident during his appearance on Saturday Night Live.
