It’s undeniable that Cordell Walker is a skilled fighter and a champion in kickboxing. However, introducing a supernatural element like a ghost as an opponent seems unlikely and doesn’t fit well with the story.

Even the renowned Walker would struggle in a battle against something unseen. The outlandish tale of a medicine man coming back to life as a violent character, interspersed with jarring cuts of Native American symbols and wildlife, seemed implausible for even the most devoted followers of the hit series. Despite his fearsome reputation among criminals across Texas and the state, a spirit wouldn’t make Walker appear intimidating.

He pursues a dangerous cannibal through the rough terrain of the mountains, while also dealing with a large and intimidating grizzly bear that has been terrorizing the area. Few can match the physical strength required to defeat such a powerful beast, let alone someone who is being hunted by a deranged cannibal in search of his next victim. Only the extraordinary Chuck Norris possesses the ability to successfully face both challenges.

It’s already quite an exaggeration that the episode includes a savage cannibal and a fierce grizzly bear. Adding to the absurdity is the idea of a lawman trying to handle both dangerous creatures simultaneously.

But when the writers introduced telekinesis into their latest series, I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. In my experience, this supernatural ability doesn’t exactly fit in with the gritty realism of a crime show.

Admirers appreciated Walker’s bravery in risking his neck to help those in distress. But assisting a telekinetic child appeared excessively unrealistic, and the sci-fi aspect seemed hard to follow.

Walker exudes an aura of goodness and law enforcement, making it hard to picture him or Trivette as rough, tough street fighters. Their gentle demeanors stood out starkly in such harsh environments.

Meanwhile, Master Rin suspects that the boy was formerly Lama Dolgin and is therefore being pursued by Chang, whom Master Rin aims to capture and corrupt. The tale’s introduction, involving reincarnation and the unexpected involvement of Walker, is quite complex.

The storyline of that Walker, Texas Ranger episode was quite far-fetched on paper. Yet, the episode maintained a lighthearted tone despite featuring a menacing mobster intent on silencing a young girl as a witness to a crime. This outrageous scenario was just another example of the show’s eccentric and campy moments.
