Mukesh Khanna calls Tiger Shroff 'child among children' and admits he does not have ‘stature’ to play Shaktimaan: ‘For God’s sake…’

As a lifestyle expert with a profound appreciation for the rich tapestry of Indian cinema, I must admit that Mukesh Khanna’s perspective on the casting of Shaktimaan is both intriguing and thought-provoking. Having played this iconic role himself, his opinion carries an undeniable weight due to his life experience.

Known for his memorable role as Shaktimaan, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna has stirred up discussions yet again with his opinions about the potential casting of this superhero character. Previously criticizing Ranveer Singh as not fitting the part, he now questions Tiger Shroff’s suitability. According to Khanna, Shroff may not possess the required “presence” or “gravitas” to embody the advanced portrayal of Shaktimaan, even going so far as to compare him to a small child among children. He highlights that Shaktimaan is intended to be a more mature and evolved character.

In an Entertainment Live interview with ABP, Mukesh Khanna expressed his reasons for believing Tiger Shroff isn’t suitable to play Shaktimaan. He emphasized that if Shroff commanded a child to flush the toilet as Shaktimaan, the child might reply “Sit down,” suggesting that Shroff lacks the required screen presence for the role.

Mukesh Khanna expressed his thoughts on Tiger Shroff, stating that he feels Shroff is more like a youngster rather than someone with the mature presence required to play Shaktimaan. He explained that it’s not only about physical might, but also the wisdom and seriousness associated with the superhero character that is crucial for the role.

Khanna highlighted that Shaktimaan is far from being just a mindless fighter; rather, he possesses a deep sense of wisdom and gravity, making him a highly developed character. To put it simply, the actor further stated that Shaktimaan is not a brute force without thought, but a thoughtful, evolved individual.

Mukesh mentioned that Shaktimaan’s costume, made from the five fundamental elements, provides him with incredible power, which Tiger does not embody with his current persona. He further noted that Shaktimaan’s strength comes from his character rather than fancy suits akin to Iron Man or supernatural origins similar to Superman.

Lately, he organized a unique gathering where he unveiled the upcoming season of the legendary Shaktimaan character. At this event, he also engaged with the press, discussing the casting for Shaktimaan. He made it clear that while Ranveer Singh had spent 2.5 hours in his office, the final decision on the matter lies with the producer.

Mukesh Khanna commended Ranveer’s acting talent and passion for the character, but clarified that he, as the producer, is the one who decides the casting. He made it clear, “I am the one who will decide who plays Shaktimaan. You might think the actor chooses the role, but it’s actually the producer who casts the actors, not the other way around. If you come to my office asking to play Shaktimaan, I’m afraid that’s not allowed.

The producer, not the actors, gets to choose who will play Shaktimaan. If you were to visit my office and ask to become Shaktimaan, I regret to inform you that it is not an option open for discussion.

On November 10, 2024, Khanna publicly announced on social media that Shaktimaan was making a comeback, posting a sneak peek at the new series. This announcement ignited the enthusiasm of his followers.
