During my 30s, Mona shared, was when I discovered theatre as a means to explore my artistic abilities. She continued, “During that period, there seemed to be a pause, and it left me questioning, ‘Is this truly my reality? Am I being overlooked because I’m in my early 40s?'”

How OTT boom help Mona Singh explore her craft?

For the actress of Kaala Paani, the difficult periods didn’t persist for long. Instead, she shifted her professional path towards the emerging digital realm in India. Mona expressed her perspective, stating that the expansion of streaming content has significantly transformed storytelling. She confessed, “There are numerous opportunities for me to portray various characters. The days of strictly black and white roles are gone. Now, you can explore shades of grey without being criticized.”

After spending many years in her profession, Mona remains committed to following the same career path she chose at the start, constantly striving for new challenges and testing her limits. In an interview, the actress known for her roles in 3 Idiots shared her ambition to portray a police officer and perform action sequences, in addition to exploring various genres.
