During summertime, if you’re a fan of TV shows and movies, there are essentially two choices for you. You could step outside to soak up the sun or crank up the air conditioning and spend your time indoors, streaming your preferred content on your favorite platform. Personally, I would recommend opting for the indoor choice.
This week’s streaming offerings range from the classic summer blockbuster, Jaws, to an exciting sneak peek at the upcoming summer movie, How to Train Your Dragon, to the Disney live-action remake that may have slipped your notice in theaters. Here are some of the best picks for your viewing pleasure.
How To Train Your Dragon Sneak Peek – June 9 (Peacock)
Disney is often associated with turning beloved animated classics into live-action movies, but when something works well in Hollywood, it’s bound to be imitated. This week marks the release of the live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon” in cinemas. If you have a Peacock subscription, though, you can catch a sneak peek of the film ahead of its official release.

Snow White – June 11 (Disney+)
It seems like you might have picked up some information about Disney’s live-action adaptation of Snow White. While I personally enjoyed the film, it appears that not many share my opinion. Given that the original movie had some difficulties at the box office, it’s likely that you haven’t seen it yet. If you have a Disney+ subscription, I recommend giving the movie a watch this week and forming your own thoughts about it.

FUBAR, Season 2 – June 12 (Netflix)
Even though it wasn’t necessarily anticipated, a second season of the show FUBAR featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger has arrived on Netflix. If you were among those who kept your subscription in anticipation, consider yourself lucky! And let’s be honest, isn’t there something delightful about watching the venerable action star lighten up as an older CIA operative?

Deep Cover – June 12 (Prime Video)
Light-spirited comedies aren’t shown often in movie theaters these days, but they have become quite popular on streaming platforms. The film “Deep Cover” features Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Nick Mohammod from “Ted Lasso” as impromptu actors who are covertly recruited and end up in over their heads. This type of absurd scenario is usually only found in movies, but it has a lot of comedic potential, and it’s always nice to see Orlando Bloom back on screen.

Echo Valley – June 13 (Apple TV+)
It’s highly likely that many individuals will utilize their Apple TV+ service to watch “Echo Valley“, given Sydney Sweeney’s rising stardom. This upcoming thriller features Sweeney portraying a young woman who seeks her mother’s (Julianne Moore) assistance in concealing the demise of her boyfriend.

Jaws Franchise – June 15 (Peacock)
2025 signifies the golden jubilee of the initial release of the iconic “Jaws” film. Often hailed as the pioneer of summer blockbusters, if you’ve missed it or haven’t watched it in a while, you’ll have another chance to revisit it as it lands on Peacock this week. Additionally, its three less-than-impressive sequels will also be available for those who feel compelled to watch them all.
There’s an abundance of fantastic streaming content on its way within the next few weeks, including a fresh Marvel Cinematic Universe series and live-action adaptations of beloved Disney movie musicals from Broadway. Remember to visit TopMob regularly to stay updated on what’s coming up next!
