My Talking Angela 2 launches its new Fashion Editor – Here’s everything you need to know to design the perfect outfit

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that diving into the world of Angela’s Fashion Editor has been quite an exhilarating journey! The freedom to create and customize outfits for our beloved character, Angela, is a feature that adds a unique charm to this game.

The highly popular fashion-focused character from mobile games is causing a stir more than ever before! That’s because My Talking Angela 2, the beloved dress-up virtual pet game created by Outfit7, has unveiled its latest addition – the Fashion Editor feature.

Instead of the traditional mix-and-match clothing selections, the Fashion Editor in My Talking Angela 2 offers a fresh approach by enabling players to create entirely original outfits in 3D.

If you’re eager to explore the extent of your creative possibilities with the latest feature, here are eight essential steps to fully immerse yourself in a captivating fashion adventure.

Please Note: In some territories, the feature may be subject to an additional purchase.

1 Open the Fashion Editor

Starting in the most obvious place: how to get into the Fashion Editor.

Here are four methods to access our Fashion Editor feature. For first-time users, you’ll encounter a large on-screen prompt with a “Start Now” button. Simply press this button to embark on your designing journey!

As a gamer, I navigate to Talking Angela’s room, then click on her hairbrush icon to step inside her boudoir. Next, I spot a wardrobe tucked away on the left side of the screen. Inside this wardrobe, I find a box on the floor to my left, filled with a pair of scissors, a tape measure, and some thread. By tapping the box, I open up the Fashion Editor, ready to customize Angela’s look!

Another option is to reach the Fashion Editor by selecting the city button, followed by tapping the building with a billboard of a dress on its rooftop.

Lastly, be on the lookout for a speech bubble with a Fashion Editor symbol hovering over Angela’s head. If you see it, that means she has a desire to engage in fashion design. Simply tap the bubble to access the Fashion Editor tool.

Now, you’re ready to design your first outfit, so let’s start at the top.

2 Design a hat

In simpler terms, it’s not necessary to add a hat to your outfit. Some of Angela’s hairstyles might clash with hats, potentially damaging her hairstyle. If you still prefer to wear a hat, simply tap on the character model’s hat icon. Then, pick your desired hat style from the bottom menu and select a color from the options above.

Above the color palette, you’ll find tabs that allow you to incorporate patterns, unique designs, and additional elements into your design. In this tutorial, we opted for a stylish blue summer bucket hat, followed by adding wide pink stripes to it. Keep in mind, when using a pattern, ensure you select a distinct color for it. If both the garment and pattern are the same shade, the pattern won’t be visible!

3 Design a dress

As a fashion enthusiast, I find myself presented with an intriguing dilemma regarding Angela’s attire. I could conceive a full-body gown that envelops her entirely, or I might opt to design a two-piece ensemble consisting of an upper garment, such as a shirt, and a lower piece, like a skirt or trousers. However, it’s important to note that Angela can’t wear a dress with a separate shirt, skirt, or trousers simultaneously.

As a gamer, I opted to design a unique outfit that complements my in-game hat. To showcase all its amazing features, I also whipped up a dress! Let’s get started on creating this dress; just tap the dress icon right over the dummy’s waist.

Choosing the style and primary hue for your gown mirrors the process for picking a hat’s design and color. However, we opted to click on the paintbrush icon to introduce an exclusive pop of color to this dress. Initially, the gown appears in a single shade when you select it, but you have the liberty to customize each segment individually. You can use your finger for quick adjustments or, if you prefer more precision, use a stylus pen.

Ensure you turn the mannequin to inspect the garment from various angles by merely rotating the arrow near its ankles.

4 Design a shirt

If you choose not to create a dress for Angela, you could instead opt to design a top (like a shirt), bottom (skirt or trousers) for her instead. To initiate designing a shirt, simply press the T-shirt button located on the dummy’s chest. If you’ve already designed a dress, you might have noticed that some style buttons bear a scissors icon. This indicates that you can alter the length of the garment. To shorten a part of it, click the scissors button. Conversely, to lengthen it, tap the yarn icon.

To create a summery feel for Angela, we transformed a simple T-shirt by dyeing it a light blue color, shortening the sleeves, and then added a charming accessory as a final touch.

As a fan, I’d say: “To spice up your look, hit the ‘Accessories’ tab with the heart and smiley face icons. From there, pick an accessory from the bottom menu that tickles your fancy. To place it on your garment, just drag and drop it where you want it to be. Want to resize? Simply slide the yellow bar left or right. Go ahead and add as many accessories as you desire, but for our summer T-shirt, a single, perfectly placed pink unicorn was the perfect touch.

5 Design a skirt or trousers

Press the “Design Skirt/Trousers” button to initiate your creation process. Customize various aspects of your garment such as its length, base color, pattern, and additional accents. If you’re feeling creative, go ahead and craft a one-of-a-kind design!

The brush toolbar provides a variety of tools beyond just paintbrushes and erasers; you’ll also find markers, pencils, and spray paint. But for our skirts project, we desired something extraordinary. That’s why we selected the splash stamp, which we used to decorate a long, plain skirt with vibrant blue splatters across half of it.

6 Design shoes

Lastly, an ensemble isn’t fully finished until you’ve chosen the perfect footwear to accentuate it. Click on the shoe icon to access the shoe selection, where you can pick your desired style, color, and additional embellishments.

As I geared up for some summer gaming sessions, I opted for a vibrant pair of sandals in a sky-blue hue. To add that perfect touch of charm, I completed my look with adorable heart-shaped accents on the straps.

7 Save your outfit

After finalizing your design for the outfit, examine it thoroughly by checking from various angles. Utilize the arrows placed at the model’s ankles to spin the figure and verify that every aspect of your creation appears appealing from all perspectives. If you are pleased with the outcome, press the green checkmark followed by the Save button to store your design in your wardrobe.

If you’re not satisfied with how it turned out, continue making adjustments until you reach your preferred style. But remember to exercise caution when discarding everything entirely – deleting the current outfit by using the trash bin is irreversible.

8 Wear it!

Once you’ve stored your chosen ensemble in the closet, Angela will be able to put it on straight away by pressing the “Wear” button. In the future, she’ll sport your distinctive outfit during the entire gameplay.

All your fashion designs will find a place in Angela’s closet, alongside the rest of her wardrobe collection. Each piece is kept individually, allowing you to combine and match them with other clothes, thereby creating an array of distinct outfits. With Angela’s Fashion Editor, the styling options are virtually limitless!
