NADA Announces First-Ever Paris Invitational Art Fair

As a seasoned art enthusiast with a soft spot for discovering emerging talent, I am thrilled to share my excitement about The Salon by NADA and The Community! Having traversed the globe in search of unique artistic expressions, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation upon hearing that this invitational art fair is set to grace Paris, the city of love and home to some of the most captivating art scenes.

NADA unveils the inauguration of their invitational art event, titled The Salon. This unique exhibition is being jointly organized with the Paris-based art hub, The Community. Over the course of four days, it will bring together 46 exhibitors representing galleries affiliated with both NADA and The Community’s network of non-profit arts organizations at 76 Boulevard de Magenta in Paris’s 10th district. Anticipating Paris Art Week, The Salon is scheduled from October 17–20, coinciding with a book fair on October 19.

The five-story building, previously a training center for the SNCF (the French national railway), is set to bolster the city’s flourishing art community. The event will feature various galleries like 2 Walker, Harper’s, Nil, No Agency x Cafe Forgot, alongside established players, and NADA members such as Sorry We’re Closed, OLYMPIA, and Carbon 12. This gathering promises to contribute significantly to the city’s artistic landscape.

According to Tuukka Laurila, founder and director of The Community, their mission since the start has been to consistently question and discover new ways that art is perceived. In a recent declaration, he emphasized that the collaborative project shares this spirit of innovation, drawing inspiration from the Parisian Salons of old but adapting them for today’s world. This modern interpretation aims to provide an exciting examination of contemporary cultural and artistic environments.
