As someone who has braved countless winters and spent countless nights camping under the stars, I can confidently say that this Nanga x BAPE collaboration is a game-changer! Growing up, I always wished for a camouflage sleeping bag or down jacket – now I’m getting both, and from two iconic brands to boot!
As we approach the end of 2024, you might expect that Nanga would be content with the dozen or so releases it had planned for the fourth quarter. However, this brand has a knack for surprising us, and true to form, it has one more surprise up its sleeve before the year ends. For its last release of 2024, Nanga is collaborating with BAPE to redesign some of its popular down jackets and accessories using BAPE’s iconic camouflage print.
This pair offers two distinct styles of down jackets: one that carries a stronger influence from BAPE, while the other is more reminiscent of Nanga. Starting with the first, we have the 1st Camo Aurora Tex Down Jacket, characterized by its camouflage pattern throughout and incorporating all functional aspects of BAPE’s initial Camo Down Jacket. The second offering is a modern take on the Hinoc Down Jacket silhouette from Nanga, redesigned with elements borrowed from BAPE’s Snowboard Jacket, showcasing camouflage accents on the shoulders, yoke, and back sleeves.
Moving beyond clothing, the duo also presents a joint effort on Nanga’s Aurora Tex sleeping bag, featuring a camouflage design, and a plush, down-filled blanket.
Have a good examination of the Nanga x BAPE collection showcased in the booklet above, as it will be available for purchase starting December 28, only at Nanga’s official online store and the Nanga Shop located in Yokohama.
