Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals his parents felt good when he worked with Salman Khan in Kick; says 'Unko belief nahin tha mere upar'

As an admirer who’s watched Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s journey unfold on the silver screen, I am truly captivated by his resilience and humility. His story is a testament to the fact that success doesn’t always lie in the eyes of those around us, but within ourselves.

Many of us grew up appreciating the three dominant figures in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, who have maintained their reign over Hindi cinema for years. Notably, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an actor who has collaborated with all these leading stars in various films. Lately, Nawazuddin disclosed that his parents were proud when he worked alongside Salman in the film Kick. He admitted that they initially didn’t have faith in him.

In a recent conversation on The Majlis Show podcast, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked whether his parents initially thought he would not thrive in acting without working alongside the Khans.

According to the Kick actor, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan are massive stars, and it is commonly believed that if an actor collaborates with them, success follows. However, unlike many others, his parents didn’t hold such a strong opinion.

Originally, it was apparent that they wanted me to accomplish something. They didn’t have faith in me, but it seemed fitting when they were pleased watching Kick,” Nawazuddin stated.

Back in June of this very year, I was utterly thrilled when TopMob shared an intimate tour of Nawazuddin’s home. In that video, the incredible Gangs of Wasseypur actor opened up about his past struggles. Remarkably, he stated that he harbors no regrets about life. As if that wasn’t inspiring enough, this 50-year-old star went on to say that he found pleasure in enduring those hardship days. He shared that he had the privilege of living with numerous individuals who shared his passion and mindset.

To those unfamiliar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui kicked off his acting career in Bollywood with the 1999 film Sarfarosh, where Aamir Khan played the main character. Later, they collaborated again in Talaash: The Answer Lies Within. Additionally, Nawazuddin acted in one of Aamir’s co-produced films, Peepli Live, which was released in 2010.

In 2017, the actor teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan for the movie “Raees,” directed by Rahul Dholakia. Additionally, he partnered with Salman Khan on the films “Kick” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Returning to the topic of “Kick”, a movie directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, we find Jacqueline Fernandez and Randeep Hooda among its stars. Notably, it has been declared that the sequel to the 2014 film, titled “Kick 2”, is currently in development.
