The NBCUniversal segment, encompassing NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC, is initiating a public service announcement (PSA) drive. This campaign will showcase several prominent broadcasters, guiding viewers towards local resources that can help them determine how to register to vote in their respective states.

Tom Clendenin, CMO and senior VP of marketing for NBC News Group, shared with The Hollywood Reporter that the Olympics in Paris and the nation’s response sparked a bit of inspiration. He noted the immense interest and support for the Olympic team and athletes, as well as the surge of patriotism. He expressed a desire to capitalize on this sentiment and honor American spirit. In his view, one essential aspect of that is the right to vote.

Each of NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, and the NBC News Now streaming service will produce their unique versions of these advertisements, featuring presenters and personalities specific to each network.

In these segments, you’ll find notable personalities like Lester Holt, Kristen Welker, Steve Kornacki, Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough along with his partner Mika Brzezinski, Jen Psaki, Alex Wagner, Andrew Ross Sorkin, Jim Cramer, Carl Quintanilla, Savannah Guthrie, and Tom Llamas.

The scene emphasizes voting as a deeply ingrained American custom, much like baseball or apple pie. It concludes with personnel from NBC affixing a voting sticker, and they mention that the event is impartial. NBC stresses its non-partisan nature in this context.

Clendenin points out that people nationwide enjoy getting an election day sticker, which became a key aspect of our campaign.
