NCIS: Hawai’i May Have Gotten Canceled, But Vanessa Lachey’s Next TV Gig Is About To Hit Streaming

As a gamer who has been through the rollercoaster of TV cancellations, I must say that 2024 was particularly tough with the unexpected departure of NCIS: Hawai’i from our screens. Yet, despite my disappointment and the efforts of fans, it seems we can bid farewell to Jane Tennant and her team on CBS.

As the 2024 television season winds down, it’s still a struggle to accept that NCIS: Hawai’i was among the shows abruptly canceled without much notice in 2024. Even fan petitions and uproar from the cast and creators didn’t seem to sway CBS. Unfortunately, it appears that the procedural drama won’t be making a comeback. However, Vanessa Lachey, the show’s star, already has her next TV role lined up and it will be available on streaming platforms.

After wrapping up “Hawai’i”, Lachey has continued to keep herself occupied, be it by spending more quality time with her family or taking on additional projects. The actress has once again graced our television screens with the recent season of Netflix’s reality dating series, “Love Is Blind”, and now she’s back in action yet again.

Lachey took to Instagram to share that the third season of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On will premiere on December 4 alongside a photo of fellow co-host, husband Nick Lachey.

The Lacheys have grown to be prominent figures in Netflix’s romantic sphere, with Nick serving as the host of “Perfect Match.” In 2022, the series “The Ultimatum” debuted, which serves as a social exploration aimed at understanding how many couples decide to marry when faced with ultimatums. The upcoming season will continue to chronicle six couples who dare to test their relationships by risking everything to discover if they can last or if they’ll disintegrate due to an ultimatum issued by one of the partners.

Although “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On” differs from “NCIS: Hawai’i”, it will still be enjoyable to have Vanessa Lachey back on our screens. Moreover, reality shows with their complex dynamics are always intriguing. Whether you’re a fan of “The Ultimatum” or not, viewers with Netflix subscriptions will likely want to explore the show and understand its premise. The fact that it’s in its third season suggests it’s worth watching, especially given its resemblance to the Lacheys’ other Netflix production, “Love Is Blind”, which has proven to be of high quality.

For devoted fans of the show NCIS: Hawai’i, there seems to be no hope that the series will be rescued, either by CBS or another network. Fans continue to rally online and have even put up a billboard in an attempt to save the program, but these efforts don’t seem to be making a difference. Regardless, Vanessa Lachey, who played a significant role in the show, still cherishes it deeply despite its cancellation. She bid a farewell to NCIS: Hawai’i over the summer, viewing it as her second home even though it is no longer her real residence.

Viewers get another chance to see Vanessa Lachey on the show “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On” when its third season starts on December 4. For those with a Paramount+ subscription, they can also stream all three seasons of “NCIS: Hawai’i”, keeping their fingers crossed for more appearances from Jane Tennant and her team in the future.
