‘NCIS,’ ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Among Shows Resuming Production, Will Remain Indoors

As I sit here, fingers poised over my gaming keyboard, I can’t help but marvel at the irony unfolding in LA County. Despite the relentless wildfires that rage on, several TV productions are gearing up for a comeback this week, adding another layer of drama to the city’s landscape.

On Monday, the TV shows such as CBS’ NCIS, NCIS: Origins, The Neighborhood, Poppa’s House, Jimmy Kimmel Live from ABC, Max’s Hacks and NBC’s Happy’s Place and Suits LA will resume filming. However, some other series like CBS’ After Midnight and ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy are yet to return to production.

Several popular TV shows are set to start shooting again on Monday, including NCIS, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Max’s Hacks, Happy’s Place, Suits LA, and more from CBS, ABC, and NBCUniversal. On the other hand, some shows like After Midnight and Grey’s Anatomy are still waiting to resume production.

Four CBS series set to restart filming, all produced by CBS Studios, will operate exclusively on sealed soundstages under constant supervision by the studio’s security, health, and safety departments. Any cast or crew members affected by a fire or unable to commute safely are being advised not to attend work and will still receive their standard wages.

More to come.
