Netflix is introducing a highly sought-after functionality to their main video streaming service: Users can now download an entire season of a TV show with just one tap, specifically for Apple iOS devices.
Previously, the option to download seasons had only been offered on Android devices. But by introducing this feature to iPhones and iPads, we’ve broadened its reach, ensuring that users can easily and swiftly download any episode from their chosen season of television with ease.
Or, more concisely:
We’ve extended the availability of the season download feature beyond Android devices to include iPhones and iPads, making it a breeze for users to download episodes from their preferred TV seasons on these platforms.
In the Netflix interface, you’ll find the “Season Download” option placed conveniently near the “Share” button.
Instead of streaming shows at home, downloading lets you watch them offline during travel, such as commuting, camping, or flying, when internet connection may be unreliable or non-existent.
With the release of new features, Netflix has revealed the top downloaded seasons on their platform so far: “Squid Game” Season 1, “The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”, speculated to be “Monster” series, “Squid Game” Season 2, “ONE PIECE”, and “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”.
Netflix has consistently been proactive when it comes to enhancing its platform and features. Previously, they introduced a tool enabling users to effortlessly share clips from their Netflix shows across various social networking sites.
It appears that the investment in products and content is proving fruitful, as Netflix gained an unprecedented 19 million new subscribers in the previous quarter, marking a significant triumph for the streaming service.
